This book is appropriate for intermediate level cellists who can play up through eighth position and know some tenor clef. An overview of tenor clef is included, as well as a section on producing better tone. If needed, preparatory exercises for The Swan are in the back of the book.

The entire cello part to Camille Saint-Saens’ The Swan is presented at the end of the book (the piano accompaniment is not included).
